Decent selection, but shipping is a mystery
I was looking for some new breiboeken and decided to check out Breiwebshop, as I've mostly ordered from Wolplein before. Their range of breiboeken is pretty good, and I even found some cute punnikklosjes I hadn't seen elsewhere. However, I found myself constantly searching for information on shipping costs. It's not immediately clear how much delivery will be until you're pretty far into the checkout process, which is a bit annoying. While the prices for the items themselves were fair, this lack of transparency regarding shipping made the experience less straightforward than it could have been.
Good yarn, decent delivery
I ordered a few skeins of Scheepjes garen and some stekenmarkeerders last week. The website was easy enough to navigate, though I did spend a little time comparing colors before I settled on a shade. My package arrived about 5 days after I placed the order, which felt pretty standard for something coming from overseas. Everything was packed well, no issues with the yarn getting squished or anything. The garen itself is nice quality, exactly what I expected from Scheepjes. I haven't needed to contact support so I can't speak to that, but the overall experience was smooth. I would probably order from them again for specific brands.
Mostly good, one small issue
I purchased a crochet course and some haakkatoen from Breiwebshop. The course content was really well put together, very clear instructions, which I appreciated as I'm still learning. The haakkatoen arrived in good condition too. Delivery took about a week to get to me in Texas, which was acceptable. My only minor gripe was that one of the colors of haakkatoen looked a little different in person than on the website. Not a huge deal, I'll still use it, but it's something to keep in mind when ordering. Customer service responded quickly when I had a question about the course access. Value was fair for what I got.
